The church Notre-Dame de la Defense Hotel Romanesque style was built in 1919 by Italian immigrants first arrived in Little Italy Montéal. It represents the cultural heart and religious Italians of Canada. They celebrate their baptism, first communion, marriage and funeral celebrations.
This church is known for its colorful frescoes of Guido Nincheri and its red brick facade, which gives it a unique character.
Associated with this project since its inception, the community's efforts are highlighted with a plaque engraved with verses from the first priest 1'Eglise father Guglielmo Vangelisti: "This church was erected for the glory of God for the many ladies and the honor of the Italian people".
